Contaminated without Consent- Film and Discussion
225 Franklin St., 25th Floor
Boston, MA 02110 [MAP]
Join us for a special MassCOSH/Boston Cares' Conversation Café: Contaminated without Consent.
MassCOSH's own Tolle Graham and Elizabeth Saunders from Clean Water Action will lead a workshop and discussion about how we can protect ourselves from toxic chemicals. In today's society we are warned about the harmful effects that lead and mercury have on the human body. Unfortunately, current environmental and health policies do not warn us or protect us from other toxic chemicals in the items we come in contact with everyday such as beauty products and household cleaners.
The workshop will explore the ways in which we are creating proactive policies to prevent harm from toxic chemicals before any damage is done to people's health or the environment. We'll also discuss safer alternatives to many of the products we use today. This is a great opportunity to learn more about how to protect yourself from the toxic chemicals you may come in contact with everyday and about the campaign in Massachusetts to protect its citizens from the harmful effects of these toxic chemicals. This event is free and open to all!
