Our Strategy

Teens Lead @ Work (TL@W) provides training and advocacy for teen workers to ensure their safety and health in the workplace by:

  • Supporting young workers' efforts to research and identify issues of concern to them in the workplace and in their community.
  • Creating polished, confident peer educators that are incredibly effective in reaching out and teaching other teens.
  • Engaging teens in organizing strategies to address their concerns and foster young worker and environmental justice activists.
  • Bringing youth together with their peers to discuss their concerns and to learn about work issues.

Current Efforts

Leadership Education and Action to Promote Safety (LEAPS) for Young Workers Summit:

TL@W is hosting summit in June to showcase the community projects by LEAPS teams and to offer a chance for different people in the communities to join us in congratulating the teams for all their work. We will gather in Boston once again to learn from each others' experiences and to share the challenges and triumphs of the whole project. Most importantly, we want to celebrate the accomplishments of everyone involved with LEAPS! There will be drinks, food, prizes, and tons of fun! Come join us!
