Maritza Manrique

Maritza, originally from Colombia, currently lives in East Boston. She has more than 10 years of experience as an early childhood educator. She is a member of the Board of Directors of SEIU Local 509, representing the Child Care and Negotiation chapter. She also serves on the Joint Executive Board (where all the SEIU locals meet) and is in charge of recruiting new early education educators from Chelsea, Revere and Boston. She is a member of the International Women’s Committee at the MassCOSH Immigrant Workers Center and is looking forward to supporting the work focused on Latinas working conditions and contributing to the fight for safe and healthy workplaces.
