Rachel Smit

Rachel is an associate attorney at Fair Work, P.C., where she represents workers in class actions as well as individual cases of wage law violations, discrimination, and retaliation. Prior to joining Fair Work, Rachel worked at Greater Boston Legal Services, where she represented primarily immigrant employees in cases of wage theft. She also provided legal support to community-based organizations and coalitions advocating for immigrant worker rights.  Rachel’s work at GBLS was funded by the Skadden Fellowship Program (sometimes referred to as the “Legal Peace Corps”).  Rachel designed her Skadden project to help employees of temporary staffing agencies, who are jointly employed by a temp agency and a worksite employer, assert their workplace rights.
