Marta Helena Patiño is a Worker Center Organizer with MassCOSH's Immigrant Worker Center. Originally from Chinchiná, Colombia, she has lived in Boston since 2021 and works as a cleaner in buildings while organizing with fellow immigrant workers.
Marta joined the National COSH We Rise! Worker Leadership Academy to empower herself and her community to advocate for safe, healthy, and equitable workplace policies. Through MassCOSH, she collects testimonies from injured workers, supports community outreach for Workers' Memorial events, and promotes collective action so employers take responsibility for preventable job site hazards.
She enjoys floral arrangements and decorating, and she is passionate about fair wages, safety, and dignity for immigrant workers across Massachusetts.
