Provide Fair Wages for Agricultural Workers
Abolishes the substandard agricultural minimum wage and extends overtime protections to Massachusetts farmworkers, ensuring the same wage rights as other essential workers.
Provide One Fair Wage
Eliminates the tipped subminimum wage and raises the minimum wage to $15 per hour for all workers, including tipped service workers disproportionately affected by the pandemic.
Employers that Fail to Protect Workers should not get Public Contracts of Permits
Requires companies seeking state contracts or excavation permits to disclose workplace safety violation records, enabling Massachusetts to avoid contractors with poor safety histories.
Stop Wage Theft
Clarifies employer responsibility for upholding labor standards and gives the Attorney General and workers additional tools to hold violators accountable and recover wages wrongfully taken.
Protect Injured Workers from Retaliation
Strengthens anti-retaliation protections for workers who report or seek care for work-related injuries or COVID-19 exposure, and establishes an administrative complaint mechanism for enforcement.
