Protect Nurses from Musculoskeletal Injuries
Requires health care facilities to adopt safe patient handling programs to reduce musculoskeletal injuries to nurses and healthcare workers caused by lifting, transferring, and repositioning patients.
Protect Workers from Workplace Violence
Requires healthcare employers to assess safety risks annually, implement programs to minimize workplace violence, provide time off for assaulted workers, and report assault data semiannually.
Protect Workers from Workplace Bullying
Protects all employees from abusive workplace treatment regardless of protected class status, giving severely bullied workers the right to seek damages and requiring employers to prevent and respond to bullying.
Healthy, Safe Schools
Establishes ventilation standards for public schools, requires facility assessments and state-funded upgrades, mandates weekly COVID-19 pooled testing, and ensures free PPE for staff and students.
Protect Massachusetts public health from PFAS
Phases out toxic PFAS chemicals in all products by 2030, establishes a PFAS Remediation Trust Fund, restricts industrial PFAS releases, and limits PFAS-containing firefighting foam.
