Fields Corner Crossroads Collaborative's New Leadership is Worth Celebrating

MassCOSHis pleased to announce the Fields CornerCrossroadsCollaborative has named its firstprogram directorKeyla Kelley, MS, CCLS, CEIM, CLC. In 2018,thanks to athree-yearfunding incubation grant by Boston Children’s Hospital’s Children’s Health Equity Initiative,eight Fields Corner-based organizations have joined together to fight for good, safe jobs,improvedchild health,increasedcommunity leadership in local advocacy efforts, and more. The organizations includeAll DorchesterSports and Leadership, Asian American Resource Workshop, Boys & Girls Clubsof Dorchester,DotHouseHealth, Louis D Brown Peace Institute,MassCOSH, New England United for Justice, andVietAid.

Kelley holds a Master’s degree in Child and Family Studies from Wheelock College and has worked in a variety of settings including Boston Medical Center, WIC, Care Dimensions, and Boston Children’s Hospital where she served as an advocate for social and economic equity, youth wellbeing, and family-centered care. 

MassCOSH will be joining with its partners Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 9:00am-11:00am for the group’s first Harvest Festival. The outdoor event will be taking place at 1565 Dorchester Avenue between Town Field and Doherty-Gibston Playground and will be your chance to learn more about our exciting collaboration and discuss ideas you have for the Dorchester neighborhood. The Festival will include family activities, activities for children, information about community services such as SNAP, and giveaways. MassCOSH will also be offering short trainings on workplace rights and COVID-19 health and safety on the job. Those who complete our training and a brief evaluation will be given a $10 Dunkin’ gift card.
